Xbox Leadership Seemingly Confirms Call of Duty for October

Ahead of Xbox's upcoming "vision for the future" podcast, key executives, including Phil Spencer, Matt Booty, and Sarah Bond, conducted an internal town hall meeting, giving employees a broad overview of Xbox's future in the console business.

During the meeting, Spencer indicated that a new Call of Duty is set to release in October, affirming previous reports about Call of Duty 2024 developed by Treyarch and supposedly set in the Gulf War.

The meeting also emphasized Xbox's commitment to a multi-device strategy, with Bond reiterating the goal of having "Xbox on every screen." This aligns with Xbox's ongoing multi-platform approach, utilizing cloud-based streaming solutions. Speculation has circulated about Xbox potentially developing its own handheld device.

For more insights into Xbox's future plans, tune in to a special edition of the Official Xbox Podcast on Thursday, February 15, at 12 pm PT, where Spencer, Booty, and Bond will provide updates amid reports of games like Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, and others possibly making their way to PlayStation and other platforms.
