Samsung Galaxy S24 series may cost the same as the S23

Samsung is anticipated to unveil the Galaxy S24 series at its upcoming Unpacked event scheduled for next month. Although the company has not officially disclosed pricing details, a recent report suggests that Samsung plans to maintain competitiveness by adopting the same pricing structure as the current Galaxy S23 series.

The rumored Galaxy S24 lineup, featuring base, Plus, and Ultra models, is expected to debut with identical prices to the Galaxy S23 series. If these reports are accurate (as per Hankyung), the Galaxy S24 is projected to be priced at $799, the Galaxy S24+ at $999, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra at $1,199. Prices for models with additional memory configurations are expected to be higher.

To sustain these prices, Samsung is reportedly opting for the Exynos 2400 chip in the base and Plus variants in select markets, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra is speculated to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip globally.

Samsung aims to boost sales in the recovering smartphone market by releasing the Galaxy S24 series at the same prices, with a target of selling at least 33 million units, marking a 10% increase. The Galaxy S24 is touted as Samsung's inaugural AI phone, and the company believes that its technological advancements will redefine the smartphone landscape.

In related leaks, purported screenshots of an inventory listing (via @Tech_Reve) indicate the memory configurations and color options for the Galaxy S24 series. The Galaxy S24 is expected to offer 8GB of RAM with storage options of 128GB or 256GB, the Galaxy S24+ with 12GB of RAM and storage choices of 256GB or 512GB, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB. Color choices across the series include Gray, Black, Violet, and Yellow.

While some rumors initially suggested an 8GB variant for the Galaxy S24+, recent leaks propose a single configuration of 12GB for this model. The speculation around the pricing aligning with the Galaxy S23 series continues, and the potential launch date is rumored to be January 17 in San Jose, California.
