Adobe has unveiled Project Music GenAI Control, a generative AI experiment facilitating music creation and customization without professional audio expertise. Users input text prompts like "happy dance" or "sad jazz" to generate music in a chosen style.
The integrated editing controls enable customization of repeating patterns, tempo, intensity, and structure. The tool supports remixing sections and generating repeating loops for background music.
It can also adjust audio based on a reference melody and extend clip lengths for animations or podcasts. Developed in collaboration with the University of California and Carnegie Mellon University, this early-stage experiment integrates deep control for shaping and editing audio, akin to pixel-level control in Photoshop. The public release date is yet to be announced.
