Meta (META) CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently compared Meta's Quest 3 mixed-reality headset to Apple's Vision Pro in a video shared on Instagram. Zuckerberg emphasized the Quest 3's affordability, starting at $500 compared to Vision Pro's $3,500, and overall superiority in various aspects, including comfort, open app model, and broader field of view.
While acknowledging Vision Pro's higher resolution, he highlighted tradeoffs made by Apple in device quality and ergonomics. Zuckerberg asserted that Meta's open model will prevail in the next generation of computing, emphasizing the long-term advantage of a more open app ecosystem.
