Samsung set to unveil Galaxy Ring at MWC 2024

Samsung is set to showcase its intelligent health lineup at MWC, aiming to provide users with more personalized and seamless health experiences through the integration of AI across a wider range of devices.

The highlight of this announcement is the official unveiling of the Galaxy Ring, a new health-oriented form factor designed to simplify everyday wellness and promote smarter living through Samsung Health, the company's connected digital wellness platform.

It's important to note that the Galaxy Ring will be unveiled for the first time at MWC, but its launch date has yet to be confirmed by Samsung. This unveiling marks the beginning of the device's public debut.

Alongside the Galaxy Ring, Samsung will also showcase upcoming intelligent health features. One such feature is My Vitality Score, which provides personalized health insights based on various factors including sleep patterns, activity levels, heart rate, and heart rate variability. Additionally, Booster Card will help users track predefined health goals and receive actionable insights to improve their daily well-being.

My Vitality Score is set to be integrated into Samsung Health by the end of 2024, with availability varying depending on market, carrier, and wearable device. Similarly, the Booster Card feature is expected to roll out sometime this year.

During the January 2024 Galaxy Unpacked event, Matthew Wiggins, a clinical research scientist at Samsung Research, discussed the Galaxy Ring's features. Samsung Health will include functionalities to monitor potential sleep apnea symptoms by analyzing sleep patterns, detecting changes in blood oxygen levels, and providing alerts for irregular heart rates during sleep.
