On February 23, Chinese wearable brand AmazFit unveiled its latest offering, the Active Edge smartwatch, slated for release in India on February 27. Priced at Rs 12,999, this rugged smartwatch focuses on health and fitness features.
The Active Edge comes in three color variants: Lava Black, Midnight Pulse, and Mint Green, boasting a dual-tone design and a translucent watch strap across all models. With a 10ATM water resistance rating, it ensures protection against water ingress.
In terms of health and fitness capabilities, the Active Edge supports over 130 sports modes including outdoor running, treadmill, walking, cycling, and rowing machine activities. It can auto-detect 25 strength exercises and allows users to create custom training templates and interval training plans.
Equipped with five satellite systems for precise GPS tracking, the smartwatch seamlessly integrates with third-party applications like Adidas Running, Strava, and Komoot. It monitors vital health metrics such as heart rate, blood oxygen level, and stress level.
AmazFit has also introduced an AI-powered "Health Coach" feature, enabling users to personalize their schedules, target specific training routines, and track their progress effectively.
The smartwatch boasts impressive battery life, offering up to 16 days of typical usage and up to 24 days with the built-in power saver mode. With GPS enabled, it can last up to 20 hours, ensuring extended usage without frequent recharges.
