itel A70 with up to 256GB storage teased ahead of India launch

itel India is generating excitement for its upcoming budget smartphone, the itel A70, through social media teasers. Marketed as the "next big thing," the smartphone's design, reminiscent of the itel S23+ and other itel devices, is revealed on its Amazon listing.

Reports suggest that the itel A70 could claim the title of India's first phone featuring an expansive 256GB ROM and a robust 12GB RAM, all priced under Rs. 8000. The Amazon listing substantiates these claims, emphasizing the smartphone's substantial storage and multitasking capabilities. It's worth noting that the 12GB RAM comprises 8GB of virtual RAM coupled with 4GB of embedded RAM. Additionally, a 128GB variant of the phone is also mentioned.

Available in four colors – Black, Gold, Blue, and Light Green – the smartphone boasts a notch display. Drawing inspiration from the itel S23+, it incorporates a Dynamic Bar, resembling Apple's Dynamic Island. This feature provides quick access to functionalities like face unlock, background calls, charging animation, charge completion reminders, and low battery alerts.

Further details reveal a dual 'Matrix Camera' setup, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and volume rockers positioned on the right side of the device.

The itel A70 smartphone is anticipated to debut early next year, possibly in January. With its key selling point being the expansive storage capacity at an affordable price, it is poised to attract a broad audience in the sub-Rs. 10,000 price segment.
