CRISTIANO RONALDO SET TO SUE JUVENTUS CLUB OVER HIS UNPAID WAGES

The quality of time Cristiano Ronaldo spent in Turin in footballing terms has been debated by many. However, another issue which originated during his time with Juventus has come to light.

The Al-Nassr and Portugal star has decided to his former side Juventus over unpaid wages accumulated during his stint in the Serie A.

He is reportedly owed €19.9M by the Bianconeri. And after repeated attempts to recuperate the amount, Ronaldo has decided to take legal action against Juventus. Italian news outfit Gazzetta has reported that he has taken this decision after consulting with the Turin prosecutor’s office.

Cristiano Ronaldo arrived in Turin after a career-defining 10-year stint at Real Madrid. His stay in Turin saw him add two Serie A titles, One Copa Italia title, and one Supercoppa Italiana. He left Juventus in 2021 after a three-year stay after scoring 101 goals in 134 appearances.

In recent times, Juventus seems to have accumulated a reputation for the ill-treatment of players as Ronaldo is not the only one to take up legal battles with the Bianconeri.

Leonardo Bonucci, who has spent the majority of his professional career at the club and is now at Union Berlin, is also set to sue overtraining conditions.

It is claimed that his lawyers will proceed with the legal action, consisting of a ‘request for compensation for damages due to the alleged lack of adequate training and preparation conditions available to Bonucci’.

“It’s a decision that’s been a long time coming and is due to the fact that I’ve read and heard a lot of things that aren’t true,” said Bonucci in an interview.
