Fortnite Game New Season brings Greek gods to the Battle Royale

Fortnite's upcoming season is embracing a nostalgic twist, taking players back in time with its latest launch. Chapter 5: Season 2, titled “Myths & Mortals,” immerses gamers in the realm of Greek mythology, enabling them to embody Greek deities, engage in battles across Mount Olympus, and wield the mighty thunderbolt of Zeus. Preceding the launch was an inventive in-game event centered around Pandora’s box.

Introducing a plethora of new locations, the map now includes mythological settings such as Mount Olympus and the underworld, guarded by the infamous Cerberus. Complementing these additions are various power-ups and collectibles, including the Wings of Icarus for aerial maneuverability, Zeus’ bolts for lightning-infused attacks, and the impending arrival of thFe Chains of Hades.

With a new season comes a fresh battle pass, offering players the opportunity to unlock an array of iconic Greek gods, including Aphrodite, Medusa, and a charmingly reimagined Poseidon in the form of Slurp Juice. Furthermore, the season promises the addition of Korra from the acclaimed series "The Legend of Korra" as an unlockable character.

“Myths & Mortals” marks a significant transition for Fortnite since the inception of Chapter 5. While the battle royale mode remains a staple, the new chapter has expanded Fortnite into a multifaceted platform, hosting diverse gaming experiences like Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival.

Epic Games has been actively engaged in various endeavors, notably securing a substantial investment from Disney in February, aimed at fostering a vast and immersive entertainment universe. Moreover, Epic continues to navigate its ongoing dispute with Apple regarding App Store policies.
