Redmi A3 launched in India with price of less than Rs. 7500

Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi A3 in India, an entry-level smartphone with a premium design that belies its budget-friendly price. Sporting a new "halo" design, the phone features a rounded camera assembly reminiscent of Xiaomi's higher-end flagship models.

Available in olive green, midnight black, and lake blue, the latter two are made of glass, while the former uses faux leather. The Redmi A3 introduces a fingerprint scanner, differentiating it from its predecessor, the Redmi A2.

On the front, the phone boasts a tall 6.71-inch display with a 720p resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 processor, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and expandable storage options up to 128GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The Redmi A3 houses a 5,000mAh battery with USB Type-C charging at a 10W limit.

The camera setup includes an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The phone runs on Android 13 Go edition for efficient performance. The Redmi A3 is priced at Rs 7,299 for the 3GB/64GB variant, Rs 8,299 for the 4GB/128GB variant, and Rs 9,299 for the 6GB/128GB variant. It will be available for purchase starting February 23 through Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and retail outlets.
