OnePlus Ace 3 confirmed to have better brightness display than other series

OnePlus is scheduled to unveil its upcoming smartphone, the Ace 3, in China on January 4. The company has already provided a glimpse of the Ace 3's design and has now hinted at more details, specifically confirming the display specifications.

OnePlus has verified that the Ace 3 smartphone will feature a 1.5K BOE X1 1.5K AMOLED display screen with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Despite the resolution being the only point of distinction, OnePlus asserts that the quality and user experience of the Ace 3's screen are identical to those of the OnePlus 12. The panel, officially named 8T LTPO, boasts a manual brightness of 800 nits and 1,600 nits in Auto mode, earning an A+ rating from DisplayMate.

The Ace 3's display incorporates an industry-leading 8T LTPO circuit design, reducing power consumption by up to 30% compared to LTPS. OnePlus claims that this technology enhances operational smoothness and user efficiency, representing a comprehensive improvement and an iterative upgrade.

Powered by Qualcomm's last year's top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the Ace 3 will feature a metal frame and a frosted glass panel on the back. The camera island resembles that of the previous two generations of OnePlus flagship phones. Furthermore, a teaser has unveiled that the alert slider will include three modes: silent, vibrate, and ring. The phone will be offered in Black, Blue, and Bronze colors.

OnePlus' Ace 3 is anticipated to debut internationally as the OnePlus 12R in India and North America, launching alongside the OnePlus 12 on January 23.
