In June, Apple unveiled the Vision Pro, and official pre-orders commenced in the US just last week. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo approximates that Apple has successfully sold a range of 160,000 to 180,000 Vision Pro units, leading to the current situation of being sold out with shipping estimates now stretching to 5-7 weeks.
Despite the robust initial demand, Kuo anticipates a decline in interest as early adopters receive their orders.
Interestingly, the estimated shipping times remained unchanged in the two days following the initiation of Vision Pro pre-orders, a departure from the usual trend seen with other Apple devices like the iPhone, where demand typically continues to rise, leading to gradual extensions in shipping estimates.
Looking forward, Kuo predicts that Apple will dispatch 500,000 units of the Vision Pro by the year's end.
