• There are basically 5 different types of meta tags that you can use in SEO, but some of the most common ones include:
Title tags
  • The title tag is a HTML element that specifies the title of a webpage. It appears in the search engine results pages (SERPs) as the clickable headline for a given result and is also used as the title in the browser's tab.
Meta descriptions
  • The meta description is a brief summary of a webpage's content that appears in the search engine results pages (SERPs) under the page's title. Meta descriptions should be unique and accurately describe the content of the page.
Meta keywords
  • The meta keywords tag is a tag that is used to list a set of keywords that are relevant to the content of a webpage.
  • However, this tag is not widely used by search engines and is generally not considered to be an important factor in SEO.
Meta robots
  • The meta robots tag is a tag that is used to tell search engines whether or not to index a webpage and whether or not to follow the links on a webpage.
  • This tag can be used to prevent a webpage from being indexed or to prevent search engines from following links on a webpage.
Meta refresh
  • The meta refresh tag is a tag that is used to refresh a webpage after a specified amount of time. This tag is often used to redirect users to a different webpage.
